The first meeting of our luncheon club was on 26th February 2004 at 11am
when 22 people met in the main hall of the church for a time of FUN & FELLOWSHIP.
This lasted about 1 hour.

The program included:-

  • A mixture of Hymns,

  • Choruses and Songs from bygone days.

  • Birthday celebrations

  • A solo

  • A comedy poem

  • 2 short puppet performances

  • Short bible readings

  • A short talk.

Music was provided by Terry Baker on Piano and Accordion.

The FUN & FELLOWSHIP was followed by FOOD in the rear hall.

The meal was served at small tables by our willing team of helpers and consisted of:-
Soup and roll, Lancashire pasty, Ham/Tuna cobs,
a Selection of Cakes, Tea/Coffee,
Chocolate or Sweet to finish off

The price is £2

It was lovely to see people sharing a meal together and chatting with each other.

We aimed to finish by 1 pm but over ran a little because people seemed so relaxed and comfortable chatting a while longer.
