A small boy asked his parents,

“I am going to pray now -do you need anything?”

Faith is an important element in prayer.
The Bible says,

“..when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man.”

If you want to collect the water that comes off the roof of your house, you need drains for it to run along. Faith is the drain which brings the answers from God to you because

“..without faith it is impossible to believe God.”
